Job summary

Qatar Airways Group seeks an Aircraft Mechanic - Structures (Workshops) to perform maintenance and repairs on cabin interiors, seats, galleys and related structures in accordance with approved data and procedures, ensuring safety and timely task completion.

The role requires relevant diplomas or degrees with certifying experience, an ICAO license, and the ability to read technical documentation; work in a fast-paced workshop environment to uphold our 5-star cabin standard.

Qualifications

• High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification / Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with job-related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of certifying experience.
• Degree or Equivalent Diploma/License in Aircraft Maintenance required.
• Basic ICAO type license required.
• Engineering Diploma in Aviation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair cabin, cabin seats, galley equipment and related structures.
• Rectify defects in First Class, Business Class and Economy Class seats and furnishings.
• Follow TPMs and Aircraft Maintenance Documents to maintain 5-star cabin standards.
• Ensure safe handling of materials and tools; adhere to time constraints and procedures.
• Read and interpret technical documentation related to aircraft maintenance.

As an Aircraft Mechanic in Structure Workshops, you will be responsible and shall perform all work in accordance with approved technical data, QR standards and procedures to the highest standard, best practice and safety to meet the operational requirements as set by the department. Responsible for the completion of any assigned tasks within the frame work of procedures by performing effectively, efficiently and safely within an environment of time constraints with a high level of technical competency. Responsible for rectifying cabin defects to maintain 5 stars standard of all our QTR fleet following Cabin standard manual.

Operational Accountabilities;

Adheres to Qatar Airways TPM (Technical Procedure Manuals) and company documents for all maintenance tasks assigned, handling of materials & tools and any other maintenance related tasks. Follows Aircraft maintenance documents for all technical work on Qatar Airways Aircraft at all time, to maintain 5 stars standard of Cabin on all Qatar Airways fleet.

Accomplishes maintenance, troubleshooting, defect rectification and/or repair of Cockpit seats, Cockpit furnishing, lining and panels, and Cabin crew seat.

Accomplishes maintenance, troubleshooting, defect rectification and/or repair of First Class, Business Class and Economy Class seats.

Ensures maintenance, troubleshooting, defect rectification and/or repair of Lavatory, Lavatory equipment. Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, defect rectification and/or repair of Galley, Galley equipment and/or Galley inserts.

Accomplish maintenance, preparation, defect rectification and/or repair of Carpet

Performs maintenance, preparation, defect rectification and/or repair of Vinyl

Performs Cabin maintenance and its related defect effectively and any other Cabin tasks as directed by Cabin Lead Mechanic / Cabin Licensed Engineer and/or Cabin Licensed Technician.

Liaises with Cabin team members to complete assigned complex tasks within set timeframes, not to affect the Aircraft Maintenance TAT (Turn Around Time).

Supports Line maintenance and/or Heavy maintenance teams once instructed by the Cabin supervisor to accomplish Cabin maintenance tasks on time.

Adhere to all pertinent safety precautions by following proper approved documents related to a particular Aircraft.

Ensure that replacement of arts and components are of an a roved t e, related to articular Aircraft.

Knowledge of cabin interiors fundamentals and relative skills to his area of employment.
