Qatar Airways Group in Doha, Qatar is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic - Machinist to join our Engineering team, based in Doha. The role centers on operating CNC milling, CNC lathe and vertical drilling machines within a reputable MRO environment to support aircraft maintenance.

Candidates should have technical qualifications including diplomas or degrees in aircraft maintenance, plus knowledge of Siemens NX and related tooling, to ensure safety, airworthiness, and compliance with manuals.

Qualifications

• Operate CNC milling, CNC lathe & vertical drilling machines in a reputable aircraft maintenance environment/MRO/aircraft parts manufacturing facility.
• Use drilling, boring, honing tooling and fixtures; knowledge of standard tooling mandatory.
• Carry out CNC machine manual programming.
• Understand Siemens NX software.
• Follow safety and operating instructions per manufacturing instructions.
• Follow airworthiness instructions to ensure compliance.
• Read and interpret AMMs, CMMs, SRMs and drawings to determine repair/fabrication requirements.

We are recruiting for Aircraft Mechanic - Machinist to be based in Doha, Qatar.

Qualifications And Experience

• To operate CNC milling, CNC lathe & vertical drilling machines in reputable aircraft maintenance environment/MRO/Aircraft Parts Manufacturing Facility.
• Use of Drilling, boring, honing machines tooling and fixtures. Additionally, knowledge of standard tooling is mandatory
• To carry out CNC machines manual programming
• Basic understanding of Siemens NX software.
• Understanding and adherence to safety and operating instruction based on manufacturing instructions
• Ability to follow airworthiness instruction to ensure compliance
• Reads and interprets aircraft maintenance manuals/Component Maintenance Manuals, Structure Repair Manual and drawings to determine requirement component repair/fabrication requirements.

About You

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

Qualifications And Experience

• High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience OR
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 2 years of job-related experience
• Degree or Equivalent Diploma/License in Aircraft Maintenance.
• Basic ICAO type II license.
• Trade related Certificates
• At least one-year practical experience in the technical field within a similar work area.
• Trade related reinforcement training
• Recognized aeronautical / technical training certificates.
• Sufficient skills within work area or 1-year experience in similar workshop in a recognized airline.
