Job summary

Qatar Airways Group in Doha, Qatar, seeks an Aircraft Mechanic for Heavy Maintenance to deliver maintenance services in full compliance with QCAA/EASA and company procedures. You will perform inspections, installations, modifications, and documentation while supporting licensed engineers and supervisors to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of job-related experience with diploma path or 2 years with a Bachelor's degree.
• Base location Doha, Qatar and willingness to operate in heavy maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks per approved manuals, orders, and regulatory requirements.
• Inspect engines, airframe, components for defects and compliance with data.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble aircraft systems and structures as needed.
• Carry out servicing tasks including lubrication, cleaning, and brake inspections.
• Complete maintenance documentation in compliance with company and regulatory rules.
• Support engineers and supervisors to achieve maintenance targets.

Job description

We are recruiting for Aircraft Mechanic– Heavy Maintenance to be based in Doha, Qatar.

Job Purpose

Responsible for delivering aircraft maintenance services in support of operational and production requirements, ensuring all maintenance and related activities are performed in full compliance with QCAA/EASA, approved company procedures, customer requirements, and authorized aircraft maintenance data AMM,TSM,&IPC.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with approved maintenance manuals, engineering orders, technical publications, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct inspections and operational tests of aircraft systems, components, and structures to assess serviceability, quality, and performance under supervison of Engineers.
• Adjust, align, calibrate, and functionally test aircraft systems using approved tooling, test equipment, and measuring devices.
• Inspect engines, airframe structures, and components for defects such as cracks, leaks, wear, and damage.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, replace, and reassemble aircraft components and systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and structural elements.
• Carry out general servicing tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, brake inspections, and servicing of systems in accordance with maintenance requirements.
• Repair, modify, and rebuild aircraft structures and components (e.g., wings, fuselage, rigging, hydraulic units) in line with approved drawings and technical data.
• Perform engine and system removals and installations using approved lifting equipment such as hoists or forklifts.
• Modify aircraft systems or structures in accordance with approved engineering instructions and modification documents.
• Troubleshoot technical defects and implement effective technical solutions within the scope of authorization.
• Accurately complete maintenance documentation and records in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety, quality, and human factors standards.
• Support licensed engineers, supervisors, and team leaders as required to achieve maintenance targets.
• Perform other duties related to the position as assigned by the Head of Department.

High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience Or Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 2 years of job-related experience.
