Qualifications

Job description

Overview

Aircraft Mechanic - Cabin (Line) responsible for performing work in accordance with approved technical data, QR standards and procedures to meet operational requirements, safely and efficiently within time constraints with a high level of technical competency. Responsible for rectifying cabin defects to maintain 5-star standard of all Qatar Airways Fleet following Cabin Standard Manual.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Qatar Airways Technical Procedure Manuals (TPM) and company documents for all maintenance tasks, handling of materials & tools, and other maintenance-related tasks. Follow Aircraft maintenance documents to maintain 5-star standard of Cabin on all Qatar Airways fleet.
• Carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, defect rectification and/or repair of Cockpit seats, Cockpit furnishing, lining and panels, and Cabin crew seats.
• Carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, defect rectification and/or repair of First Class, Business Class and Economy Class seats.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, rectify and/or repair Lavatory and Lavatory equipment; maintain, troubleshoot, rectify and/or repair Galley, Galley equipment and/or Galley inserts.
• Carry out maintenance, preparation, defect rectification and/or repair of Carpet.
• Carry out maintenance, preparation, defect rectification and/or repair of Vinyl.
• Perform Cabin maintenance and related defect rectification and other Cabin tasks as directed by the Cabin Lead Mechanic / Cabin Licensed Engineer and/or Cabin Licensed Technician.
• Coordinate with Cabin team members to complete complex tasks within set timeframes without affecting Aircraft Maintenance Turnaround Time (TAT).
• Support Line maintenance and/or Heavy maintenance teams as instructed by the Cabin supervisor to complete Cabin maintenance tasks on time.
• Adhere to all pertinent safety precautions by following approved documents related to a particular aircraft.
• Ensure replacement parts and components are of approved type, related to the aircraft.

Qualifications

• High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification / Diploma or Equivalent (type of diploma based on role) with minimum 3 years of job-related experience OR
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum 2 years of job-related experience
• Minimum 5 years of certifying experience
• Degree or Equivalent Diploma/License in Aircraft Maintenance
• Basic ICAO type license
• Engineering Diploma in Aviation
• Repairing machines or systems using the correct tooling
• Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed for the job
• Controlling operations of equipment or systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation related to aircraft maintenance
• Knowledge of cabin interiors fundamentals and related skills in the area of employment
