In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting a team that shapes the creative vision and product strategy, leveraging cross-industry trends from automotive, consumer electronics, and hospitality. You will oversee the development and management of a portfolio of products and services, ensuring they are translated into tangible, implementable design concepts across aircraft interiors including layouts, galleys, lavatories, seating, and storage.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all customer-facing cabin interiors products and onboard features for both new and existing aircraft, including updates to current interiors.
- Support the development and implementation of an interior product plan across aircraft programmes to enhance passenger comfort, aesthetics, and brand identity.
- Define interior features, branding, lighting, and specifications that meet the highest quality and comfort standards.
- Apply insights from leading automotive and consumer brands to maintain leadership in cabin design.
- Partner with external industrial design studios to conceptualise and evolve future cabin design languages.
- Collaborate with Product Development and R&D teams from seating, lighting, interiors, and materials suppliers across aviation and related industries.
- Translate design briefs into visual experiences, concept directions, and compelling narratives for stakeholder alignment.
- Manage aircraft interior projects to ensure timelines and deliverables are achieved without compromise.
- Work with internal stakeholders to deliver signature design features that reflect brand identity, creativity, and innovation, achieving a world-class standard.
- Plan and implement cabin designs including floor plans, seating arrangements, colour schemes, and space planning. Coordinate the development of galleys, lavatories, and seating to ensure operational and customer needs are met.
- Maintain and manage a library of materials, fabrics, images, drawings, presentations, and samples for each aircraft programme, ensuring timely communication to senior management and archiving for future use.
- Oversee research and sampling of materials such as fabrics, flooring, wall finishes, and textures.
- Interpret customer needs from creative briefs and translate them into compelling visual product designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, ideally within the automotive, airline, or high-end consumer electronics industries.
- Background in multinational creative environments, particularly within product innovation, R&D, or design studios.
- Results-driven with excellent time management and project delivery skills.
