Job Purpose

To ensure the Adventure Park is maintained in a safe, operable, and visually excellent condition by performing inspections, repairs, and upgrades especially those requiring rope access or work at heights up to 15 meters. The technician must uphold international safety standards while working on high elements and support continuous operations of the park.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repair of all Adventure Park structures including high ropes, ziplines, stairways, climbing walls, tubular slides, and suspension elements.
  • Perform rope-access tasks up to 15 meters height for inspection, repair, or installation of equipment and safety systems.
  • Replace or repair damaged nets, ropes, pulleys, wooden elements, joints, and harness points ensuring user safety.
  • Monitor and maintain anchor points, carabiners, cable systems, and connection hardware to ensure load-bearing integrity.
  • Maintain an updated log of all inspections and repairs with detailed technical notes and photos when required.
  • Support third-party inspection agencies and coordinate re-certification works as required by safety standards.
  • Assist in daily safety checks before park opening; promptly rectify any safety concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering, HSE, and Recreation teams to ensure the park operates within Qatari safety regulations and Anantara standards.
  • Train new staff or support teams in safe work practices for height-related tasks.
  • Use appropriate PPE and climbing equipment at all times during rope access tasks.
  • Follow lock-out/tag-out and permit-to-work procedures for high-risk maintenance operations.
  • Support all other maintenance works such as, glass cleaning, bowling, surf pool maintenance works
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in adventure park, climbing wall, or rope access maintenance.
  • Certified in rope access (IRATA Level 1 or equivalent preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and structural systems used in adventure parks.
  • Physically fit and able to work at heights up to 15 meters safely.
  • Knowledge of international safety standards related to climbing structures (e.g., EN 15567, ASTM).
  • Basic mechanical or carpentry skills for repairs on wood, metal, or rope structures.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and inspection reports.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); basic knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
