Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance for HVAC equipment.
• Respond immediately to guest complaints.
• Maintain HVAC tools and charging equipment.
• Identify and operate emergency shut-off valves.
• Report maintenance problems to Shift Engineer.
• Follow assigned duties and schedules.
• Understand control principles of HVAC systems.
• Verify and adjust building area temperatures.
• Communicate daily activities to other shifts.
• Complete services on A/C and refrigeration equipment.
• Investigate jobs to ensure efficient use of spare parts.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To perform and carry out the hotel preventive maintenance plan for all HVAC equipment and including cleaning and lubricating all HVAC equipment.
• To respond immediately to the guest complaints.
• To maintain charging equipment, refrigeration test equipment, and HVAC tools in good condition.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings in case of emergency.
• Follow all job instructions given by Shift Engineer or other Senior Staff.
• Report any serious maintenance problem or safety related issues to Shift Engineer immediately.
• Follow duty schedule/split duty and carry out any other assignment given by Chief engineer as business demand.
• To understand control principles of all HVAC systems and regularly test, repair, and calibrate.
• To verify building area temperatures and adjust as necessary and record on the Duty log sheet.
• Communicate each day’s activities and problems that occur to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
• To complete major and minor services on A/C, refrigeration equipment as assigned and return the completed job sheets to the Engineering Office.
• To thoroughly investigate each job as assigned to ensure that only the necessary spare parts are used and to avoid unnecessary wastage of AC supplies.
