Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced aircraft mechanic for our Qatar operations to maintain and repair the UC-35 Cessna Citation. The role requires FAA A&P certification and recent hands-on experience on the target aircraft, with a preference for 5+ years in similar work.

You will read maintenance manuals, inspect engines, diagnose issues, and perform repairs or replacements to ensure safe operation. Travel and adaptability to a challenging environment are expected.

Qualifications

• Valid FAA A&P Certificate required.
• Recent full-time aviation maintenance experience on the assigned aircraft within the past 12 months.
• 3+ years aircraft mechanic experience on the assigned aircraft; 5+ years preferred.
• 6 months of flight line and overhaul/inspection experience.
• Formal maintenance training on the assigned aircraft desired.
• Qualified by appropriate USG armed forces aircraft mechanic maintenance course or civilian equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Tools are provided by Amentum.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on UC-35 Cessna Citation aircraft per regulations and orders.
• Repair/replace aircraft structures and components using hand/power tools and test equipment.
• Read manuals/service bulletins to determine repair methods.
• Inspect engines for leaks and diagnose malfunctions.
• Test engine operation and verify proper operation after repairs.
• Disassemble/inspect parts for wear or defects and reassemble.
• Service engines and airframe components to keep aircraft in safe condition.
• May specialize in engine repair or structural/precision partswork.
