Job summary

Sweco Design Center Poland is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to contribute to projects across infrastructure, water quality, and environmental risk assessment in Poland and Europe.

The role requires a Master’s degree and at least 5 years in aquatic environments, with strong Excel and GIS skills, and excellent English communication. You will collaborate with engineers and environmental specialists on varied, regulatory-driven projects.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Hydrogeology, or Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience in aquatic environments and environmental assessments.
• Proficiency in Excel, GIS and environmental data analysis tools.
• Strong English communication (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Perform dilution calculations and recipient impact assessments related to discharge to aquatic and surface water environments.
• Conduct environmental risk assessments and evaluate contaminant fate, transport, and sediment-water interaction in aquatic environments.
• Interpret laboratory analytical data and environmental monitoring results from wastewater, surface water, sediment, and leachate.
• Review environmental monitoring programs and sampling strategies.
• Prepare technical reports, environmental assessments, and support environmental permitting and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary environmental specialists and engineers on environmental and regulatory projects.
