Job summary

Arup in Poland is seeking a Water Engineer to lead water studies, concepts and designs for Polish and international projects. You will apply hydrology and hydraulic modelling to analyse flood risk, develop solutions for drainage systems, rivers, reservoirs and dams, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Poland and beyond.

You will contribute ideas and digital tools to improve project delivery, with a focus on sustainable, climate-resilient water infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Six years of professional experience in the water sector, with focus on hydrology and hydraulic modelling.
• Degree in water, environmental engineering or related field.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Polish and English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare study, concept and design documentation for Polish and international water projects.
• Undertake hydrological analyses and calculations to support evidence-based decisions.
• Assess flood risk and develop practical remedial and mitigation measures.
• Prepare technical drawings and supporting documentation.
• Develop, review and apply hydraulic models for drainage systems, rivers and dams.
