Job summary

KION Group is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer (Vulnerability Management) in Kraków to advance enterprise vulnerability management capabilities with a strong focus on automation and AI-driven approaches. The role blends hands-on testing with platform engineering to improve security workflows across global IT, cloud and application environments.

You will work with modern tools, collaborate across teams, and contribute to remediation through automation and process improvements.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, IT Security, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
5–7 years of relevant experience in Cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in vulnerability management, penetration testing and security automation.
Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and application security principles.
Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools.
Understanding of enterprise IT and cloud technologies.
Scripting or automation experience (e.g. Python).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-driven with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
English fluent (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

Plan and execute internal penetration testing engagements across infrastructure, web applications, APIs and cloud environments, providing actionable findings and remediation guidance to relevant teams.
Lead enterprise vulnerability assessments ensuring broad and continuous coverage across systems, applications and cloud environments with clear risk context for remediation prioritization.
Architect, operate and enhance the enterprise vulnerability management platform and scanning infrastructure for scalability and integration with security tools.
Design and implement automation strategies to optimize vulnerability detection, assessment and remediation workflows.
Develop and maintain security tooling, scripts and platform integrations to support vulnerability management capabilities.
Evaluate and operationalize AI-driven approaches to improve detection, risk prioritization and assessment workflows.
Collaborate with development, DevOps and infrastructure teams to drive secure design patterns and remediation through automation.
Contribute to continuous improvement of vulnerability management processes, policies and standards as a SME.
Deliver technical and management-level reporting on vulnerability trends, risk exposure and remediation progress.
