Job summary

Claranet limited is seeking a Virtualization Administrator to join our Talent team. The role focuses on deploying and managing VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Foundation, with growth in automation and IaC practices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, perform lifecycle management, and contribute to security and compliance in our virtualization environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing and supporting enterprise virtualization platforms.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) administration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with VCF Operations and VCF Automation components.
• Strong automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Proficiency with Linux and virtualization command-line tools.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain VMware vSphere and VCF environments; support Nutanix, Hyper-V, and OLVM/KVM when needed.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize virtual infrastructure performance with high availability.
• Perform platform lifecycle management: patching, upgrades, host maintenance, configuration changes.
• Implement virtualization solutions aligned with security, compliance, and business needs.
• Develop automation, provisioning, and infrastructure management tools using scripting and IaC.
• Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors to deliver virtualization projects and improvements.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and regular platform health reports.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing across the team.

Your responsibilities include:

• Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments, while supporting technologies such as Nutanix, Hyper-V, and OLVM/KVM when required.
  
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize virtual infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability and minimal service disruption.
  
• Perform platform lifecycle management, including patching, upgrades, host maintenance, and configuration changes.
  
• Implement and maintain virtualization solutions aligned with security, compliance, and business requirements.
  
• Develop and maintain automation, provisioning, and infrastructure management tools using scripting and Infrastructure as Code practices.
  
• Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors to deliver virtualization projects and operational improvements.
  
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and regular platform health, performance, and capacity reports.
  
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, proof-of-concept activities, and knowledge sharing across the team.
  

You must have:

• 5+ years of experience managing and supporting enterprise virtualization platforms.
  
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) administration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  
• Experience with VCF Operations and VCF Automation components.
  
• Strong automation and scripting skills using tools such as Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible.
  
• Practical experience applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, particularly with Terraform for VMware infrastructure provisioning and management.
  
• Proficiency with Linux and virtualization command-line tools.
  
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and infrastructure optimization skills.
  
• Professional proficiency in English.

• Experience with public cloud platforms and storage technologies in virtualized environments.
  
• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
