Job summary

Plateful is seeking a performance-focused Video Editor to craft high-converting direct response ads for Meta, TikTok, AppLovin, and other paid channels. This role emphasizes hooks, storytelling, pacing, retention, and conversions, not cinematic editing.

You will work closely with Creative Strategists to turn scripts into ads that capture attention, drive purchases, and maximize every second of footage. A strong portfolio and AI-enabled workflow are highly valued.

About the Role

We're looking for a performance-focused Video Editor to create high-converting direct response ads for Meta, TikTok, AppLovin, and other paid channels.

This isn't a cinematic editing role. We care about hooks, storytelling, pacing, retention, and conversions. Every edit should be built to sell.

You'll work closely with our Creative Strategists to turn scripts into ads that capture attention, keep viewers watching, and drive purchases. The best editors don't just cut footage—they understand the message, choose the right visuals for every sentence, and make every second count.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience editing videos for DTC eCommerce brands (required)
• Strong portfolio of high-performing direct response ads
• You take the time to truly understand the script before editing. You know how to find the perfect visuals, B-roll, UGC clips, stock footage, AI-generated assets, and motion graphics to reinforce every line of the script.
• Exceptional storytelling and pacing skills. We'd rather hire someone with great creative instincts than someone with flashy transitions.
• Strong familiarity with leading DTC brands such as Hismile, Ryze, Grüns, IM8, Seranova, and similar performance-driven brands
• You've worked with multiple types of consumer brands or actively study the best-performing ads and understand why they work.
• Highly proficient with AI editing workflows. You regularly use AI to generate realistic A-roll, AI actors, B-roll, product scenes, voiceovers, images, 3D animations, and other creative assets that improve production quality and speed.
• You understand TikTok, Instagram Reels, Meta, and AppLovin creative because you've spent countless hours analysing top-performing ads, creators, and trends.
• Strong understanding of organic content formats and social media trends
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Able to work full-time in a fast-paced remote environment
• Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly
