We are seeking a
We are seeking a VAT/GST Controller to oversee VAT compliance, accounting and coordinate audit activities across our Vaccines VAT registrations (7 legal entities, 15 VAT registrations in 10 countries) with the support of KPMG organisation and in close collaboration Vaccines Global Process Owner (GPO) and Global Tax.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve VAT/GST returns, including related filings such as Intrastat and ESL – EC Sales List including issue logs.
- Contact P2P and O2C to request corrections of identified issues where required.
- Source and provide missing information required for VAT return and Intrastat preparation.
- Drive the correction of invoices and resolve tax code issues identified during the VAT return review.
- Record VAT entries and reconcile VAT accounts.
- Perform annual/periodical compliance activities, including Import VAT reviews, VAT revision exercises and 8th Directive filings.
- Coordinate the collection of documents for VAT audits, acting as the main point of contact and liaising with Global Tax.
- Perform SOX controls accurately and in due time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Support efficiency improvements, in partnership with the Global Process Owner (GPO) / collaborate with GPO for integration of VX entities/registrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in tax or VAT compliance.
- Strong finance background with deep expertise in Month-End Close processes, financial reporting, reconciliations.
- Extensive experience working with SAP Finance environments, including SAP ECC, S/4HANA.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach.
- Rigorous, autonomous and committed to meeting deadlines.
- Team player.
Working Model
This role is hybrid. You will be expected to work from our Poland office regularly and be available for in-person collaboration.
