Job summary

eSkill Corporation seeks a talented UI Engineer to migrate our legacy front-end to a modern stack (TypeScript, Vite, Storybook) and contribute to new product features. We already built a design system based on shadcn, with React, TypeScript, and PNPM, aiming for a consistent, accessible UI across projects.

You will collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end UI slices per sprint, write tests, and improve performance and security patterns across codebases.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• Outstanding UI skills with accessible, performant interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Webpack/Vite, eslint/prettier, pnpm.
• Solid web security, performance, and accessibility practices.
• Experience with TanStack (Table, Query) and TailwindCSS.
• Experience building and maintaining in-house libraries/workspaces (Design System).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and build processes.

Responsibilities

• Own design system (Shadcn + Radix), collaborate with design team.
• Improve and update user interface across multiple codebases.
• Build new UI features in React + TypeScript with clean, maintainable code.
• Pair with backend, Product, and Design to deliver end-to-end slices in each sprint.
• Write unit and integration tests (React Testing Library, Playwright).

With the aim of providing easily customizable online pre-employment assessment tests, eSkill Corporation has developed into a global leader in employment-related skills testing. eSkill provides organizations with a web-based skill testing service. Specifically, the eSkill application lets hiring and training managers configure tests from our extensive subject library to match their hiring and training needs and reduce the risk of hiring failures and discrimination litigation.
Our product currently operates on an outdated front-end stack built on the proprietary Liferay Portal framework (utilizing an AMD loader) and legacy tooling such as Gulp, Babel 6, and Webpack 4. We are seeking a talented UI Engineer to help with the migration to a modern technology stack - including TypeScript, Vite, and Storybook - while also contributing to the development of new product features.
We have already built a modern design system based on shadcn, using PNPM, React, TypeScript, and Vite. This system will help us create consistent, unified user experiences across multiple projects.

Requirements

Must-have experience:

• 4+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• Outstanding UI skills, ability to build consistent interfaces with accessibility and performance in mind,
• Solid understanding of TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Webpack/Vite, eslint/prettier, pnpm.
• Solid knowledge of web security, web performance and accessibility best practices.
• Experience with TanStack (Table, Query), TailwindCSS.
• Experience building and maintaining in-house libraries/workspaces (Design System).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and the general build process.

Nice-to-have

• Lerna / NX / Turborepo experience.e.
