Job summary

GFT Poland is looking for a Test & Release Consultant to join a customer-facing software project in a hybrid Poznań environment. You will lead quality assurance across mobile, API, and UI layers and own testing strategies and risk mitigation.

Collaborating with stakeholders and development teams, you will guide test plans, coordinate manual and automated testing, and support release readiness and Go/No-Go decisions to ensure smooth software releases.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial software testing and QA experience.
• Strong knowledge of testing techniques and QA best practices.
• Hands-on mobile, API, and UI testing experience.
• Experience creating and maintaining test strategies and plans.
• Experience working with clients and business stakeholders.
• Ability to define testing scope and assess quality risks.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, QA methods and Agile practices.
• Experience with Git, Jira and test-management tools.
• Experience creating test documentation, reports and quality metrics.
• Ability to work independently and own quality decisions.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
• Fluent in English and Polish.

Salary range: 140 - 175 PLN/H

What will you do?

You will join a customer-facing software project and take ownership of quality assurance activities across mobile, API, and UI layers. You will work closely with business stakeholders and development teams to define testing strategies, identify risks, improve QA processes, and ensure high-quality software releases in an Agile environment.

• Define and maintain test strategies, test plans, and QA approaches
• Analyze requirements and identify testing scope and quality risks
• Execute and coordinate manual and automated testing activities
• Perform mobile, API, and UI testing
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders on quality-related topics
• Prepare test documentation, reports, and quality metrics
• Support automation strategy and framework improvements
• Drive quality initiatives and recommend mitigation actions
• Mentor and support junior QA team members
• Cooperate with cross-functional
• Agile teams to ensure successful releases
• Experience in release management processes, including release planning and coordination from a quality perspective, defining entry/exit criteria and quality gates, managing test environment readiness across the release path, and supporting Go/No-Go decisions
• At least 7 years of commercial experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of testing techniques and quality assurance best practices
• Hands-on experience with mobile, API, and UI testing
• Experience creating and maintaining test strategies and test plans
• Experience working directly with clients and business stakeholders
• Ability to define testing scope, assess quality risks, and recommend mitigation actions
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools
• Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and Agile development practices
• Experience with Git Experience with JIRA and test management tools
• Experience creating test documentation, reports, and quality metrics
