The Global Cloud Team is part of HEINEKEN's Digital Infrastructure Portfolio, offering Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud platforms to other departments across the organization. Multiple HEINEKEN teams use these cloud platforms in a DevOps way of working, building and running their own environments in the cloud. The Global Cloud Team’s role is to provide stable, secure cloud services, best practices, and guidance so teams can fulfill their responsibilities for architecture, security, compliance, service and cost management.
As a Cloud Engineer, you will work with the Global Cloud Product Owner, Cloud and Hosting Tribe Architect, and the rest of the agile team to drive the technology roadmap and provide cloud services to our customers.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions in line with architectural guidelines and standards defined by the Tribe Architect.
- Collaborate with the Global Cloud Team and Product Owner to understand, analyze, and translate stakeholder requirements and user stories into technical solutions and configurations.
- Build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code (HCP Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM templates, AWS CloudFormation).
- Own technical quality of Global Cloud deliverables, drive engineering best practices, manage technical debt, identify bottlenecks, and improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Support teams in implementing shared solutions and technical directions while ensuring required quality and performance standards.
- Implement compliance and security controls for solutions deployed in public cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot production incidents and support root cause analysis (RCA).
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, manage support solutions and processes.
- Collaborate with development teams and external vendors to ensure successful integration and operation of cloud services.
- Operate as a self‑organizing team member in an Agile environment.
- Demonstrate product features to stakeholders during sprint reviews.
You Are a Good Candidate If You Have
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and cloud‑native services.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Experience designing and supporting Azure Enterprise Landing Zones using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), cloud governance, Azure Policy, policy compliance and effects.
- Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), including identity management, secrets management, certificate management, role‑based access control (RBAC), and security best practices.
- Experience with cloud cost optimization using Azure Hybrid Benefit, Reservations, Savings Plans, and Azure Advisor recommendations.
- Understanding of high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), backup, and business continuity solutions.
- Experience with Azure networking, including VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity.
- Knowledge of automation, CI/CD, monitoring, and operational best practices.
- Strong problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell and Python.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role within an international environment or FMCG industry.
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Microsoft certification such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ‑104) and Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ‑305).
- English C1.

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible (AU294).
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
- HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ‑500).
- AWS Associate or Professional certifications.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced environment with rapid release cycles.
- Preferably experienced in Agile environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL, SCRUM, and DevOps; certifications or training are beneficial.
- Understanding of the Cloud Adoption and Well‑Architected Frameworks.
