Position Description

We are seeking a talented Software Developer based in Warsaw to own the development, implementation, and maintenance of our compliance and surveillance systems. This role focuses on optimizing industry-standard compliance platforms, integrating critical data feeds, building an AI-driven overlay for our CRM, and developing a bespoke compliance dashboard from scratch. They will also be a member of the development team and will therefore be expected to play a proactive part in the maintenance and development of the wider code base, e.g. reviewing PRs.

Key Responsibilities

• Market Abuse & Comm Surveillance: Implement, tune, and maintain third-party and proprietary surveillance tools, with a specific focus on managing Bloomberg Vault for e-comms and audio analysis (in alignment with MAR, SEC, and FCA rules).
• Sanctions & Shareholding Disclosures: Integrate and maintain automated compliance data flows utilizing FundApps (for positioning/shareholding disclosures) and the Bloomberg Sanctions feed to ensure real-time regulatory screening.
• Data Pipelines & OMS Integration: Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines to ingest trading data, market data, and communication logs. Systematically push restricted lists and regulatory blocks into the OMS, trading platforms, and Personal Account Dealing (PAD) systems.
• Compliance Dashboard: Architect and build a centralized, secure, and intuitive Compliance Dashboard from scratch to serve as the "single pane of glass" for the Compliance team.
• AI CRM Overlay: Design and deploy an AI/LLM-driven overlay for CRM tools (specifically Backstop) to interpret investor communications, flag potential compliance risks, and streamline audit trails.
• Bespoke Monitoring: Design custom monitoring reports, automated alerts, and analytics metrics tailored to credit fund operations (e.g., restricted list monitoring, conflict of interest checks, PAD tracking).

3. Front Arena Collaboration & Regulatory Data Integrity

• Front Arena Collaboration: Partner closely with the wider team to source data.
• Data Accuracy: Maintain and audit master data lists within the trading architecture, ensuring absolute accuracy regarding approved brokers, counterparty restrictions, and clearing rules.

4. Cross-Border Support

Translate evolving FCA/SEC regulatory requirements into technical specifications alongside the London-based Compliance and Legal teams

Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Requirements: Backend Development: Excellent proficiency in Python

• Frontend/Dashboarding: Experience building web applications or dashboards using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Experience: 4+ years of software development experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, or specialized FinTech vendor.
• Systems Expertise: Hands-on technical exposure to some or all of the following is highly advantageous: Bloomberg Vault, FundApps, Backstop CRM, and FIS Front Arena.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Reg SHO, Market Abuse Regulation (MAR), and basic insider trading/restricted list compliance mechanics.
• Asset Class Knowledge: Understanding of credit instruments (corporate bonds, CDS, leveraged loans) is a significant advantage.
• Soft Skills & Language
• Language: Professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory for daily collaboration with the London headquarters.
