Job summary

Nordea seeks a Technology Application & Vendor Manager to join the Equities Technology team. You will coordinate vendor relationships, contracts, and financial governance across SaaS and on‑prem platforms supporting trading and regulatory reporting.

In this role you will collaborate with procurement, finance, and technology stakeholders to ensure budgets, invoices, and future obligations are transparent, compliant and aligned with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience with vendor management and financial governance.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, invoices, and cost reporting.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting governance, compliance, audit, or risk activities.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in financial services or capital markets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with strategic technology vendors.
• Coordinate vendor agreements, renewals, and contractual obligations.

• Track technology spend, invoices, and forecasted costs.

We are now looking for a Technology Application & Vendor Manager to join our Equities Technology organisation.

About Our Team

You will become part of the Equities Technology organisation, supporting a portfolio of applications used across Retail, Corporate, and Institutional Trading. Our landscape includes both SaaS (Software as a Service) and on-premises platforms supporting trade execution, market connectivity, and regulatory reporting. The organisation works closely with front-office stakeholders and operates in a highly regulated environment where operational excellence, governance, and financial discipline are essential. As a central point of coordination across vendors, budgets, compliance activities, and application governance, you will play a key role in helping the organisation run effectively and transparently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing relationships with strategic technology vendors and service providers
• Maintaining and coordinating vendor agreements, renewals, and contractual obligations
• Working closely with procurement, finance, and technology stakeholders
• Tracking technology spend, invoices, and forecasted costs across the organisation
• Reviewing and approving invoices while ensuring alignment with budgets and contracts
• Establishing transparency around costs, commitments, and future financial obligations
• Maintaining oversight of the application portfolio and supporting portfolio governance processes
• Monitoring application compliance requirements and ensuring follow-up on regulatory, audit, and control activities in collaboration with development leaders
• Following up on remediation of findings, risks, and improvement initiatives together with application owners and technology teams
• Supporting budget planning, forecasting, and financial reporting activities
• Preparing management reporting, governance materials, and portfolio insights for stakeholders and leadership teams
• Helping drive operational discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organisation

Your Experience And Background

We imagine that you have:

• Experience working with vendor management, financial governance, or business management
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, invoices, and cost reporting
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Experience supporting governance, compliance, audit, or risk-related activities
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

It would be ideal if you also:

• Have experience working within financial services or capital markets
• Understand technology vendor management and software licensing models
• Have experience supporting application portfolios or technology organisations
• Have worked with regulatory, audit, or compliance processes
• Have exposure to project portfolio management or technology governance frameworks
• Possess strong Excel and reporting skills and experience working with financial data
