Job summary

Planet hires a Technical Solution Engineer to design and implement data-driven solutions using SQL and a programming language (Python, Java, or JavaScript). You will work with internal teams to meet customer needs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance across databases and applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL with experience designing and optimizing complex queries.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Experience in system integration, troubleshooting, and technical solution implementation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand technical requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Design and implement technical solutions using SQL for data management and one of the programming languages (Python, Java, or JavaScript).
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to databases, applications, and system integrations.
• Optimize database performance by writing and tuning complex SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
• Develop custom scripts, tools, and applications to enhance system functionality and improve client workflows.
• Document system processes, configurations, and technical solutions for both internal and client use.
