Job summary

Fujitsu in Poland is seeking a Technical Services Engineer Expert to join our VMware-focused IT team. You will manage vCenter and ESXi, optimize vSphere environments, and drive capacity planning while coordinating with cross-functional IT groups.

Qualifications include expert VMware knowledge, vSAN/Aria Operations experience, strong networking skills (vDS/NSX), and English proficiency. Relocation not required; multiple locations across the country are supported.

Qualifications

• Deep and practical expert-level knowledge of VMware vSphere technologies (vCenter, ESXi).
• Experience in administering VMware vSAN, Aria Operations, and Aria Operations for Logs.
• Advanced knowledge of networking in virtualization (vDS, NSX).
• Experience in capacity planning and optimizing VMware environments.
• Ability to independently resolve complex problems.
• Excellent technical documentation and procedure creation skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain vCenter and ESXi environments.
• Recommend and implement VMware version control with approval.
• Advanced network configurations on ESXi hosts per guidelines.
• Manage full vCenter server operations.
• Handle service accounts for vCenter and ESXi.
• Document and resolve hardware fault incidents on ESXi.
• Create and manage snapshots efficiently.
• Plan and execute hardware and firmware updates.
• Deploy and configure virtual appliances.
• Administer VMware vSphere, vSAN, and Aria Operations suite.
• Monitor virtual environments and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with IT teams and participate in project meetings.

What’s the role about?

• Independent configuration and maintenance of vCenter and ESXi.
• Recommend and implement VMware version control (with Account team approval).
• Advanced network configuration on ESXi hosts as per network support guidelines.
• Full vCenter server management.
• Manage service accounts (vCenter and ESXi).
• Document and resolve hardware fault incidents on ESXi hosts.
• Efficiently create and manage snapshots.
• Plan and execute hardware and firmware updates.
• Deploy and configure virtual appliances.
• Administer the virtual computing environment (VMware vSphere, vSAN, Aria Operations, Aria Operations for Logs).
• Administer monitoring solutions for virtual environments.
• Actively troubleshoot virtual environments.
• Tune, optimize, and perform capacity planning.
• Recommend and implement best practices and security standards.
• Create and update technical documentation and operating procedures.
• Close cooperation with other IT teams and coordination with third-line support.
• Active participation in coordination and project meetings.

Who are we looking for?

• Deep and practical expert-level knowledge of VMware vSphere technologies (vCenter, ESXi).
• Experience in administering VMware vSAN, Aria Operations (formerly vRealize Operations), and Aria Operations for Logs (formerly vRealize Log Insight).
• Advanced knowledge of computer networking in the context of virtualization (e.g., vDS, NSX).
• Experience in capacity planning and optimizing VMware environments.
• Ability to independently resolve complex problems.
• Excellent technical documentation and procedure creation skills.
• Fluent English (both written and spoken).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
