Job summary

OX2 Poland, a leader in sustainable energy solutions, seeks an experienced Technical Project Manager to drive multidisciplinary engineering teams and oversee large-scale energy projects from development through commissioning.

You will align design, energy yield, CAPEX/OPEX, procurement, and construction schedules while managing technical risks, quality, and safety across international teams.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc., or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in energy project development, engineering, construction, or project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience working in an international or multinational environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, including GIS, Civil, Grid, and Technology specialists, as well as external consultants.
  • Oversee the engineering and design of complete energy systems, including generation assets, grid connections, civil works, and control systems.
  • Develop and manage engineering plans aligned with procurement and construction schedules to ensure timely delivery of technical milestones.
  • Provide technical leadership and support throughout all project phases, from development to construction and handover.
  • Maintain clear and well-organized technical documentation and project deliverables.
  • Coordinate technical evaluations and due diligence related to financing and project sales processes.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and drive the successful development, design, and delivery of large-scale energy projects. As Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of projects from development through construction and commissioning. You will ensure alignment between engineering design, energy yield, CAPEX/OPEX assumptions, procurement activities, and construction schedules while managing technical risks, quality standards, and health & safety requirements. This is a key role that combines technical leadership, stakeholder management, project coordination, and commercial awareness to maximize project value and ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities
Project & Engineering Leadership
  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, including GIS, Civil, Grid, and Technology specialists, as well as external consultants.
  • Oversee the engineering and design of complete energy systems, including generation assets, grid connections, civil works, and control systems.
  • Develop and manage engineering plans aligned with procurement and construction schedules to ensure timely delivery of technical milestones.
  • Provide technical leadership and support throughout all project phases, from development to construction and handover.
  • Maintain clear and well-organized technical documentation and project deliverables.
Technical Coordination & Optimization
  • Ensure technical assumptions are aligned across design, energy yield assessments, CAPEX/OPEX estimates, and project schedules.
  • Drive design optimization initiatives to maximize project value and support financial performance.
  • Coordinate and support technical due diligence activities related to financing and project sales processes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
Compliance, Risk & Quality Management
  • Ensure compliance with permits, regulations, grid requirements, contractual obligations, and industry standards.
  • Identify, assess, and manage technical risks throughout project development and execution.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes and ensure health & safety considerations are integrated into engineering design.
Procurement & Construction Support
  • Lead the definition of technical scopes for RFQs, tenders, and contracts.
  • Coordinate technical evaluations of supplier and contractor proposals.
  • Support and lead technical negotiations during procurement processes.
  • During construction, oversee design reviews, quality follow-up activities, and technical change management.
  • Escalate technical issues and risks in accordance with established project governance processes.

  • Proven experience in energy project development, engineering, construction, or project management.
  • Strong understanding of energy project development processes within relevant markets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience working in an international or multinational environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Experience
  • Preferred Experience with construction projects.
  • Understanding of energy project finance.
  • Experience from related industries such as renewable energy, wind, solar PV, oil & gas, or other energy sectors.
  • Experience working with EPC contracts and large-scale energy infrastructure projects.

Summary Employment rate: Full time Location: Warsaw / hybrid with some remote work possible subject to agreement with the hiring manager. Travel: Up to 15% of working time
