The Role

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the daily management, motivation, and development of a team of designers and technologists. You will ensure the effective execution of projects, design and manufacturing documentation, foster a positive working environment, and drive continuous improvement in processes and team competencies. You will also represent the team in technical and business meetings, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance with company policies.

What you will be responsible for
  • Leading and motivating a team of design engineers and technologists to achieve projects, design documentation, manufacturing documentation and business goals;
  • Planning, coordinating, supervising and supporting the team’s daily work and development;
  • Reporting on progress, KPIs, and key challenges to management;
  • Ensuring high standards in technical documentation (CAD Drawings, 3D models, technical specifications, assembly instructions), process optimization, and project delivery;
  • Actively participating in solving complex technical and design problems, often requiring an interdisciplinary approach;
  • Supporting team members’ growth through feedback, training, and performance management;
  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other departments;
  • Representing the team in technical and business meetings;
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
About you
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in team management in a technical or engineering environment;
  • Proven experience as designer;
  • University or equivalent degree level of academic education related to the job scope (especially in mechanical engineering);
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good command of English (minimum B2 level);
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred);
  • Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault (SolidWorks is an asset);
  • Knowledge of quality standards, technical documentation, and relevant regulations;
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and solve problems;
  • Ability to challenge existing practices, analyze findings, and draw conclusions;
  • Availability and readiness for rare business trips (domestic and international);
  • Ability to work under time pressure and in stressful situations.
