Job summary

TMF Group in Katowice is seeking a Tax Associate to support VAT, WHT, GST, Sales Tax, CIT and GAAP conversion. You will perform routine and moderately complex tax tasks with growing autonomy under supervision, while building trusted relationships with clients.

The role offers hybrid/remote options, exposure to an international client base, and opportunities to develop skills in SAP-based tax accounting, data extraction from ERP, and collaboration with TMF offices worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver low-complexity tax returns on time to authorities.
  • Coordinate to correct errors in source data and remedial actions.
  • Compile, extract and prepare data; review and audit reports.
  • Handle moderately complex clerical/technical issues under supervision.
  • Retrieve and organize detailed data from client ERP system.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders worldwide.
  • Liaise with TMF offices, subcontractors and tax authorities.
  • Ensure team deadlines meet internal/external requirements.
  • Use software programs and maintain company databases.
  • Build a professional relationship with assigned clients as contact point.

The Tax Associate is part of the Tax Team and supports the delivery of tax services across VAT, WHT, GST, Sales Tax, CIT, SFS, WHT, GAAP conversion, e‑invoicing. This role focuses on performing routine and moderately complex tasks with growing autonomy while applying basic tax knowledge. The Associate may manage client deliverables and assist in end‑to‑end services under supervision. In addition to the listed responsibilities, the role requires flexibility to perform other related tasks assigned by the manager to support business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and timely delivery of accurate low complexity tax returns to Tax Authorities and other statutory reporting, VAT, CIT, SFS etc ,
  • Cooperation to ensure that errors in the source data are properly communicated and corrected and that remedial action has been taken,
  • Compile, extract and prepare data, review, and audit a variety of reports.
  • Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Retrieve and organize detailed data from the client’s ERP system.
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders worldwide.
  • Liaise with TMF offices, sub‑contractors and tax authorities on technical issues
  • Ensure that team deadlines are met in accordance with internal/external requirements
  • Use specific software programs and maintain company databases as required
  • Build a first‑rate professional relationship with assigned clients acting as a principal point of contact
Key Requirements
  • Professional experience in preparation and submission of tax returns
  • University Degree, or currently studying, administration, accounting, or relevant field. (Desirable)
  • At least 1 year of experience in Tax operations or Tax Compliance
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office tools at a user level, and high Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge and previous experience in SAP in Tax Accounting‑Compliance area. (Highly desirable)
  • Very good English, both spoken and written
  • Attention to Detail: The ability to process detailed information effectively and consistently.
  • Data Gathering and Analysis: Seeks or collects and synthesizes information from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective, unbiased manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment, and to enable strategic and leadership decision making.
