Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking a candidate to drive MAR Trade Surveillance strategy, focusing on surveillance effectiveness, data coverage and onboarding, and cross-product scenario design. The role collaborates with BAU stakeholders and the Data team to ensure data quality and appropriate data elements are sourced for complex surveillance scenarios.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in financial services, preferably within surveillance, compliance, or data-driven risk environments.
Hands-on exposure to scenario design and surveillance effectiveness reviews, especially cross-product contexts.
Experience with financial market datasets and data feeds.
Ability to document business and data requirements (BRDs) clearly.

Responsibilities

Complete surveillance effectiveness reviews and assess scenario logic and operational effectiveness.
Design BRDs for automated and cross-product surveillance to mitigate residual risks.
Identify and document Market Data requirements; work with data sourcing and feeding enhancements.
Ensure data quality controls for new market data sources with alerting for issues.
Lead UAT processes for newly designed Cross Product scenarios.
Collaborate with data, technology, and surveillance teams to support testing and implementation.
