In this role, you will ensure the highest standards of supplier performance, manage non-conformance cases, and drive quality initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, excellent communication skills, and at least 5 years of experience in quality assurance. This position offers a hybrid working model after onboarding, with a full-time commitment.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our regional quality team and play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of supplier performance.

In this position, you will act as the primary liaison between suppliers and production units, taking ownership of non-conformance cases and driving effective resolution processes. Your mission is to minimize production impact while maintaining exceptional product quality, cost efficiency, and delivery reliability.

(First month on-site, after onboarding period - hybrid 3/2)

Key Responsibilities
  • Non-Conformance Management (NCR Handling): Take full ownership of all NCRs related to supplier defects, coordinating the investigation, documentation, and closure of cases with minimal disruption to production operations.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving: Perform detailed analyses of supplier-related deviations using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, PDCA, and A3. Verify non-conforming materials, assess corrective actions, and ensure their effective implementation.
  • Supplier Communication and Corrective Action Validation: Act as the main point of contact for supplier quality issues—approve or reject corrective measures, follow up on action plans, and ensure defective components are removed from production efficiently.
  • Quality Documentation and Process Control: Oversee and verify supplier quality documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, and checklists to ensure compliance with KK quality standards.
  • Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) Governance: Monitor and reduce COPQ through continuous improvement initiatives, supplier accountability, and cost recovery coordination with purchasing and finance teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and procurement teams to troubleshoot process issues, improve efficiency, and lead quality initiatives that enhance product performance and reduce operational risks.
  • Technical Support for Production: Provide on-site support to production units in managing supplier-related issues, ensuring uninterrupted operations and adherence to defined quality timelines.
Competencies and Technical Skills
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Solid engineering background in mechanical or electrical component manufacturing (e.g., welding, steel construction, machining, casting).
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, PDCA, A3).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills for engaging with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (preferably D365).
