Job summary

The ideal candidate has over 5 years in Quality Automotive, is experienced in supplier audits, and holds relevant certifications. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in Quality Automotive, focusing on suppliers and customers.
  • Experience in process audits and commodity-specific requirements.
  • Certification in VDA6.3 or IATF 16949 is required.

  • Support in supplier evaluation and development activities.
  • Execute manufacturing process-oriented audits.

Overview

Supplier Development Engineer – Adient (NYSE: ADNT) is a global leader in automotive seating. Responsibilities
  • Support in supplier evaluation
  • Execute supplier development activities
  • Execute manufacturing process orientated audits (VDA 6.3, SAS, Control Plan audit)
  • Monitor and improve critical supplier performance (SPPM, program)
  • Support Purchasing in de-sourcing / re-sourcing projects
  • Lead and manage critical suppliers along with Adient escalation process
  • Support in providing activities and KPI’s reporting to the top management
  • Use and promote the ADIENT problem solving methods (8D Report, Problem Solving, KT)
  • Conduct Supplier Development Process improvement projects
  • Train, guide, and support suppliers
  • Implements lessons learnt at suppliers
Qualifications
  • Min 5 years working experience in Quality Automotive (Production or dealing with Suppliers and / or customers)
  • Commodity specific experience
  • Process-focused and a team player.
  • Certified Auditor (VDA6.3, IATF 16949 etc)
  • English – advanced
