Job summary

Ulstein Poland Ltd. in Gdynia, part of the Ulstein Group, designs ships for offshore markets and delivers hull, outfitting, and machinery documentation for vessels worldwide.

We are seeking Structural Engineers to join international project teams delivering engineering solutions and documentation for Ulstein-designed vessels, with occasional travel to shipyards and owners.

Qualifications

  • Technical university background.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or 3D ship structural design software.
  • Experience with Revit is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of shipbuilding standards, class rules, and statutory requirements.
  • Ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks and work both independently and within a team.
  • Willingness to expand engineering and project management knowledge and share existing experience.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle complex technical issues.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to shipyards, owners, and equipment suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop accommodation layouts and arrangements in accordance with the vessel’s building specification.
  • Recommend optimal technical solutions based on drawings, specifications, and suppliers’ documentation.
  • Support the accommodation discipline lead and deliver documentation according to project schedule, QA/QC requirements, and contract specifications.
  • Contribute to the development of technical standards and production-friendly methods and solutions.
