Job summary

GlobalLogic in Kraków is seeking a Middle Automation Test Engineer to join a Medtech project, supporting testing of a connected device ecosystem that combines hardware, embedded software and cloud services.

You will design, implement, and run automated tests in Python, contribute to a custom framework, and perform end-to-end testing across device and cloud components, with collaboration across engineers and customer representatives in an international, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial QA/Test Automation experience.
• Strong Python skills with automated tests development.
• Experience contributing to or working with a custom automation framework.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, including regression, integration, and system testing.
• Experience testing hardware-software integrated systems.
• Able to analyze logs, reproduce complex issues and troubleshoot across components.
• Experience with Linux-based environments.
• Good understanding of Git-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and execute automated tests in Python.
• Contribute to development/improvement of the custom test automation framework.
• Develop automated tests for hardware/software integrated systems.
• Perform end-to-end testing across device and cloud components.
• Validate connectivity, data transfer, configuration and system behavior across multiple components.

The role focuses on test automation, system-level testing, and end-to-end verification across both the medical device and cloud components.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial experience in QA / Test Automation.
• Strong knowledge of Python and experience developing automated tests.
• Experience working with or contributing to custom automation frameworks.
• Good understanding of software testing principles, test design, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Experience testing systems involving both software and physical hardware.
• Ability to analyze logs, reproduce complex issues, and troubleshoot failures across multiple system components.
• Experience working with Linux-based environments.
• Good understanding of Git-based development workflows.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Ability to work directly with engineers and customer representatives in an international environment.

Job responsibilities
