Job summary

Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking a Release Manager to support the R&D Product Development Program Manager.

The role ensures delivery of R&D program requirements, coordinating with the R&D team and stakeholders to plan, execute, and monitor development efforts, including scope, capacity planning, branching, scheduling, and defect resolution. Responsibilities include governance of documentation, quality reviews, program planning across the SDLC, and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field is required.
• PM certification (PMP/PgMP or equivalent) is required or up to 12 months from hire.
• 10+ years of experience in project management or leading cross-functional development teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage documentation requirements and facilitate quality reviews and approvals for project deliverables.
• Support SDLC activities and alignment to project requirements and constraints.
• Coordinate release planning, branching strategy, and scheduling of milestones.
• Monitor status, KPIs, change control, and quality requirements using tools like Jira/Azure DevOps.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues, escalating with options and recommendations.
