Job summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking a Category Manager Indirect Procurement for the EMEA region to develop long-term strategies, lead regional sourcing initiatives, and optimize total cost of ownership. The role requires collaboration across Engineering, Operations, Finance, and IT, along with strong supplier management and negotiation skills.

You will drive innovation, sustainability, and governance while managing an international procurement team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
• Several years of experience in strategic procurement within indirect spend categories.
• Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, and complex negotiations.
• Proven experience collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Project Management, and Finance; leading cross-functional projects and international teams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with stakeholder management across diverse cultures in EMEA.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Ariba; experience with eSourcing platforms.
• Willingness to travel across the EMEA region as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-term category strategies for indirect procurement across the EMEA region.
• Conduct spend analyses, market assessments, and supplier evaluations to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize TCO.
• Lead regional and multi-site sourcing initiatives and conduct professional contract negotiations.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships with performance and risk management.
• Identify and implement innovation, sustainability, and value-creation with strategic suppliers.
• Lead and develop an international procurement team while ensuring governance across EMEA.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure early procurement involvement in business decisions.
• Monitor market and technology trends; promote procurement best practices and digitalization.
