Job summary

Aras Corporation is seeking a Solution Architect ECAD to translate engineering requirements into viable integration concepts for ECAD and PLM systems. You will design architectures and coordinate technical implementation with IT teams.

The role emphasizes understanding customer needs, defining interfaces, and supporting deployment and testing, with strong English communication and optional German language skills.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a comparable qualification from a university or technical college
• Several years' experience working with PLM systems such as Siemens Teamcenter or Oracle Agile
• Several years' experience working with ECAD systems such as Altium Designer, Siemens Xpedition/ PADS, Cadence OrCAD, Aucotec Engineering Base, EPLAN Electric P8 or others
• Several years of experience in both traditional and agile project management
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented approach to work, with a strong focus on customer needs
• Excellent communication skills in English (fluency in both written and spoken); German language skills are a plus
• Knowledge of .NET, C++, Java, C#, COM/COM+, XML, and ideally Ruby and the corresponding frameworks is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design integration solutions between ECAD and PLM, focusing on scalability and performance.
• Define interfaces and coordinate implementation teams and ensure architectural principlesand best practices are followed.
• Oversee the solution lifecycle from requirements to commissioning with stakeholders.
• Take on technical project responsibility, assist with architecture reviews, and ensure documentation.
• Support integration into existing systems, assisting with testing and deployment remotely or on-site
