Siemens Healthineers in Poland is seeking a Start‑up Engineer (m/f/d) for MRI systems. You will lead nation‑wide start‑ups, perform comprehensive hardware tests, and validate software interfaces with hospital IT systems to ensure safe, high‑quality imaging.

The role requires hands‑on experience with MRI hardware, knowledge of safety standards, and willingness to travel across Poland and Europe. Polish and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• Vocational training in Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, Mechatronics Technician, or similar electrical‑engineering focus.
• State‑certified technician or master craftsman qualifications welcomed; relevant field experience ok.

Responsibilities

• Nation‑wide start‑ups on MRI systems.
• Perform hardware checks on magnet, gradient systems, RF coils, cooling, safety devices.
• Test control and imaging software; interface testing with IT systems (PACS, RIS).
• Carry out safety inspections per standards and legal requirements.
• Quality testing to ensure image quality.
• Create and maintain detailed test and validation reports.
• Troubleshoot, fault analysis and spare parts ordering during commissioning.
• Collaborate with project managers, service engineers, providers and customers, as well as HQ and factory teams.
• Prepare acceptance docs and coordinate handover to service organization.

Start-up Engineer (m/f/d) for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Systems

Your responsibilities:

• Nation-wide start-ups on MRI systems
• Performing hardware checks (magnet, gradient systems, RF coils, cooling systems, safety devices)
• Testing control and imaging software, including interface testing with IT systems (e.g., PACS, RIS)
• Carrying out safety inspections in accordance with applicable standards and legal requirements
• Quality testing to ensure the required image quality
• Creating and maintaining detailed test and validation reports
• Technical clarification, fault analysis and troubleshooting, as well as spare‑part ordering as part of commissioning
• Close collaboration with local project managers, local customer service engineers, external service providers and customers, as well as teams at headquarters and in the factory
• Preparing and aligning acceptance documentation and coordinating the handover to the responsible service organization

Qualifications and experience:

• You have completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, Mechatronics Technician, or a comparable qualification with an electrical engineering focus
• We also welcome applicants who have completed further training as a state‑certified technician or master craftsman and have initial professional experience in this field
• You have experience in start‑ups, maintenance, or service of complex technical systems - ideally in medical technology or imaging systems
• Sound knowledge of MRI system hardware and associated software, including interfaces to IT systems is an advantage
• Ideally, you have knowledge of relevant safety standards and legal requirements
• SEP electrical qualifications are an advantage; if not held, willingness to obtain them is expected
• A willingness to travel exclusively within Poland and occasionally throughout Europe is a requirement

• Experience in fault analysis and troubleshooting, flexibility in responding to disruptions, and the ability to coordinate projects independently round out your profile
• You bring resilience, time flexibility, and commitment to meet the demands of frequent travel and changing work locations
• You have technical understanding of interfaces, system integration, and upgrades for MRI systems
• We require business‑fluent Polish and English skills
• You hold a valid Class B driving license
