Job summary

TechBiz Global seeks a Staff Software Engineer to shape the architecture behind real-time tournament systems and build scalable backend services for a global user base. You will design, implement, and ship features end-to-end while collaborating with product managers and designers in a fast-paced environment.

You will drive technical excellence, review code, and contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring security and reliability for a high-performance product in the social gaming space.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large-scale production systems.
• Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design and API-first design.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js or PHP.
• Experience with Pub/Sub, WebSockets and SSE.
• Experience with scalable backend and platform architecture.
• Product engineering mindset and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, maintainable, observable, and high-performing architecture.
• Develop clean, efficient, well-documented code following best practices.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and standards across the team.
• Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver features.
• Ensure application security and safeguards against vulnerabilities.
• Apply DDD, SOLID, and GRASP principles.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale production systems.
