Graphcore is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to help build high performance AI compute libraries for future hardware. You will write optimized C++ kernels, work on GEMM and tensor operations, and ensure numerics correctness close to the hardware.

You will lead design reviews, mentor engineers and shape software ownership while balancing hands‑on implementation with broader technical direction across multi‑core systems.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++, Python and Linux; testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Build high performance compute libraries close to the hardware.
• Own kernels and optimizations for next‑gen AI hardware.
• Design and implement GEMM, batched GEMM, convolutions and reductions in C++.
• Benchmark, profile, validate numerics and improve threading, cache locality and memory layout.
• Hands‑on engineering with technical ownership and leadership responsibilities.
