About the role

As a Staff Engineer in the Broadcast team, you will be part of a highly talented team working towards building a robust, secure and scalable platform. You will get an opportunity to work in a global environment and collaborate with other teams spread across Europe, America and Asia.

What you will get to do
  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, portable and reliable C++ code (25M+ LOC; majority in C/C++, but Python and other languages are also there!).
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization and automatization.
  • Proactively seek assistance when required and actively contribute to team activities including design reviews, code reviews and mentoring.
  • Read, understand, and implement technical specifications.
  • Stay current about industry developments and Internet technologies.
Who we are looking for

Must have:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience.
  • Experience in UNIX/Linux programming.
  • Good C++ skills and solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Drive and commitment to working in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eager to learn and work on embedded devices: TVs and STBs.

Nine to have:

  • Knowledge of Python or JavaScript is a plus.
  • Knowledge of web and broadcasting standards.
  • Experience in TV and STB integration projects – embedded Linux or Android.
  • Experience in development and debugging of embedded systems.
