Job summary

Redwire Poland is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer to join an international engineering team focused on end-to-end space system solutions. You will drive requirements, architecture definition, and verification across disciplines, coordinating with suppliers and partners to ensure mission success.

You will work from Warsaw under a hybrid model, engaging with colleagues in Europe and the United States, and occasionally traveling internationally.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical/Systems Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years in spacecraft, aerospace, defence, robotics, or high-reliability multidisciplinary domains.
• Experience with requirements engineering and system definition.

Responsibilities

• Analyse customer needs, mission objectives, Statements of Work, and applicable standards, and translate them into clear, traceable, and verifiable requirements.
• Develop and maintain system or equipment architectures, functional breakdowns, product trees, operating concepts, budgets, interface definitions, and technical baselines appropriate to the project maturity.
• Own or coordinate requirements management, including allocation, traceability, compliance assessment, assumptions, deviations, and verification status throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate technical work across engineering disciplines and suppliers.
• Define verification logic and prepare verification plans, verification control documents, compliance matrices, test requirements, acceptance criteria, and verification evidence using analysis, inspection, review, and test.
• Lead or support technical trade-offs, risk assessments, and interface resolution.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, ICDs, engineering plans and reports, review data packs.
• Support formal project reviews, including review planning, technical presentations, RID disposition, action closure, and configuration-baseline readiness.
• Support manufacturing, supplier follow-up, integration, environmental testing, model correlation, non-conformance assessment, and verification closure for spaceflight hardware and test systems.
• Contribute systems-engineering content to bids and early-phase studies, including scope definition, work-package descriptions, development logic, model philosophy, estimates, schedules, risks, and technical coordination with partners.
