We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect to design and lead the end-to-end architecture for our new AI-powered Intelligent Visualization and Insights offering at Roche.
This product will be a key part of a broader platform, and your role will be to ensure its architecture is robust, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards, while also leveraging the latest advancements in AI and Generative AI.
This is an opportunity to directly shape a delightful, frictionless, and persona-based experience that uses AI/ML/GenAI to democratize insight generation across Roche. You will serve as the technical lead for a product that supports capabilities like conversational analytics, automated visualization, and NLP-based insight generation at scale.
Solution Design & Architecture Development
Design and document end-to-end AI/ML-driven BI solutions, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable technical solutions, especially on cloud platforms.
Define and design for non-functional requirements (NFRs) and fitness functions for the product
Produce and maintain key deliverables such as the Solution Outline and End-to-End Design (SAD), and record and publish Architectural Decision Records (ADRs).
Integrate AI with BI platforms: Bridging the gap between AI/ML technologies and BI tools like Tableau, Thoughtspot, SAC, Google Looker, Snowflake Snow Intelligence. This involves integrating predictive analytics, natural language querying, and automated insights directly into dashboards and report
Technical Leadership & Guidance
Provide technical oversight and guidance to the product teams, including data scientists, data engineers, and BI developers, on best practices for AI-enhanced BI solutions.
Serve as a technical consultant on specific technologies and collaborate with product owners and teams to develop standards and appropriate solutions.
Innovation & Emerging Technologies
Research, evaluate, and pilot new technologies, including performing Proofs of Concepts (PoCs) to validate the feasibility and potential impact of new solutions.
Data Governance, Security, & Responsible AI
Establish and enforce practices for data governance, quality, and security to ensure reliable input for AI models and compliance with standards like GDPR.
Ensure that all AI solutions are designed and implemented in a responsible and ethical manner, upholding principles of fairness, transparency, and accountability.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a Solution Architect, specializing in self-service, integration (MuleSoft), and cloud technologies.
Strong understanding of the BI landscape and cloud data warehouses like Snowflake.
Expertise in integrating AI technologies with BI tools such as Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and ThoughtSpot to enable predictive analytics and automated insights.
Solid grasp of AI concepts, including machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP), with specific experience in GenAI, LLMs, MLOps, vector databases, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and distributed AI model deployment.
Knowledge and practical experience with ethical AI frameworks, responsible AI principles, and data governance practices.
Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., XP/SCRUM).
