Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead a large-scale data warehouse modernization program. You will define target-state architecture, develop HLD/LLD, and drive migration across multiple streams, partnering with business stakeholders, data engineers, platform teams and leadership.

You will ensure scalability, security, and performance while guiding migration strategies and delivering architecture governance across the program.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and Analytics solutions.
• Hands-on with Snowflake, Teradata, Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica IDMC, and DBT.
• Experience in enterprise-scale migration and modernization programs.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end target architecture for data warehouse modernization.
• Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, standards, and design principles.
• Create and own High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
• Design migration strategies and ensure scalability, performance, security, reliability, maintainability.
• Define data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption architecture.
• Assess current-state architecture and identify migration impacts.
• Define migration approaches for application, data, ETL, and reporting.
• Plan migrations, analyze dependencies, and mitigate risks.
• Minimize business disruption during migration activities.
• Establish coexistence, reconciliation, and cutover strategies.
• Present designs to governance boards and leadership; provide technical leadership.

The Solution Architect will be responsible for defining the target-state architecture, preparing High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD), ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements, and driving architectural decisions across all migration workstreams. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data architects, engineers, platform teams, and program leadership to deliver a scalable, secure, high-performing cloud-native data platform.

Responsibilities
