Overview

Join Roche’s AI Governance & Ethics team, where we are pioneering frameworks, platforms, and processes that enable responsible, ethical, impactful, and trustworthy use of AI across the enterprise.

As a Solution Architect, you will provide strategic guidance and technical leadership for Roche’s AI governance platforms, including the AI Registry. In this influential role, you will ensure technical excellence, enterprise-wide alignment, and scalable integration, directly enabling the trustworthy use of AI to improve patients’ lives.

Responsibilities
  • Architectural Design & Strategy: Define and lead the architecture of the AI Registry and related governance platforms, ensuring scalable, secure, future-ready, and ethically sound solutions that promote fairness, transparency, and resilience in AI systems.
  • Cross-Organizational Alignment: Ensure AI governance platforms are consistent with Roche’s enterprise architecture. Align solutions with enterprise security, compliance, and data governance standards to drive interoperability and trust in the responsible use of AI across the organization, actively promoting diversity and mitigating bias in AI development and deployment.
  • Integrated Solution Oversight: Oversee complex, integrated solutions by identifying architectural risks early, enforcing best practices, and guiding teams through the resolution of critical technical challenges, with a focus on ethical impact assessments and ensuring AI supports, rather than replaces, human expertise.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide architectural expertise and guidance to software and data engineers, mentoring teams on solution design, technical patterns, and best practices to drive consistent, high-quality outcomes, emphasizing responsible AI development and ethical considerations.
  • Technology & Trends Evaluation: Continuously assess emerging technologies, architectural patterns, and industry trends, and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen and future-proof Roche’s AI governance platforms and processes.
  • Documentation & Communication: Develop high-quality architectural documentation, diagrams, and roadmaps, and clearly communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including insights on ethical implications and responsible AI practices.

The Position

About the Team & The Opportunity:

Join Roche’s AI Governance & Ethics team, where we are pioneering frameworks, platforms, and processes that enable responsible, ethical, impactful, and trustworthy use of AI across the enterprise.

As a Solution Architect, you will provide strategic guidance and technical leadership for Roche’s AI governance platforms, including the AI Registry. In this influential role, you will ensure technical excellence, enterprise-wide alignment, and scalable integration, directly enabling the trustworthy use of AI to improve patients’ lives.

What you get:

  • Salary range (for Poland) 20 000 - 27 000 PLN gross based on the employment contract. For the Spanish location (Madrid) the salary range will be discussed on a one to one basis.
