Job summary

OBI Smart Technologies, a joint venture between OBI and Reply Group, seeks a Software Test Engineer to ensure reliable releases of the heyOBI App with hands-on manual and exploratory testing across mobile apps and backend services.

As our quality engineering matures, you will design, implement and maintain automated tests, contribute to CI/CD, and collaborate with engineers, product owners and designers in a hybrid Katowice office.

Qualifications

• Completed university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing in agile teams.
• Strong hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Initial experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Selenium.
• Programming proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Python or C# for automated tests.
• Experience with REST API testing using Postman, Bruno, Chales Proxy or similar tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Git is a plus.
• Excellent coordination and fluent English and Polish communication.

Responsibilities

• Manual and exploratory testing of mobile apps and backend services.
• Investigate, reproduce and document defects with technical detail.
• Design, develop and maintain automated test suites for critical journeys.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Product Owners and Designers throughout development.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency through automation.
