Job summary

Antal in Kraków, Poland (Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office) is seeking a Software Security Technical Delivery Lead for a full-time B2B contract. The role focuses on secure, scalable cloud-native platforms built on Google Cloud Platform and Open Source technologies, delivering value to thousands of end users.

You will drive DevSecOps, guide cross-functional teams across Java, Python, Node.js, and React, and shape secure delivery practices within a bold engineering culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on in at least two of Java, Python, Node.js, Go.
• Strong Google Cloud Platform knowledge (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, IAP).
• Proven Agile leadership and cross-functional coordination.
• DevSecOps and Security-by-Design fundamentals.
• Experience with IaC and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Bridge business objectives and technical execution to ensure end-to-end delivery.
• Address architectural risks and technical debt proactively.
• Champion DevSecOps practices across the SDLC.
• Manage sprint execution and unblock engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Backend, Frontend, SRE, and stakeholders to align delivery.
• Conduct code reviews and guide production incident troubleshooting.
• Participate in infrastructure discussions including Terraform and cloud infra.
• Drive adoption of Open Source and select suitable solutions.
• Use DORA metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Operating within a polyglot environment that includes Java, Python, Node.js, and React, the organization is looking for an experienced Software Security Technical Delivery Lead who understands not only software delivery but also the technical foundations that connect modern cloud-native systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the bridge between business objectives and technical execution, ensuring successful end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives.
• Identify and proactively address architectural risks, technical debt, and delivery challenges before they impact project outcomes.
• Champion DevSecOps best practices, ensuring security, compliance, and automation are embedded throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Manage sprint execution, remove technical blockers, and support engineering teams in maintaining a balance between feature delivery and platform stability.
• Collaborate closely with Backend, Frontend, SRE, and business stakeholders to drive alignment and delivery excellence.
• Conduct code reviews, support troubleshooting activities, and provide guidance during production incidents.
• Participate in infrastructure and platform discussions, including Terraform, cloud infrastructure, and operational excellence.
• Drive adoption of Open Source technologies and help select the right solutions to replace proprietary vendor platforms.
• Promote continuous improvement using engineering metrics and data-driven decision-making, including DORA metrics.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in software development.
• Recent hands-on experience in at least two of the following technologies:
  • Java
  • Python
  • Node.js
  • Go
• Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform, including:
  • Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
  • Cloud Run
  • Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL)
  • Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP)
• Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, Agile).
• Strong stakeholder management and dependency management skills.
• Practical experience with DevSecOps and Security-by-Design principles.
• Experience with:
  • Secret Management (KMS)
  • Container Security
  • Compliance-as-Code
  • Secure Software Delivery practices
• Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Ability to use DORA metrics and engineering KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
