Job summary

European Agency in Warsaw, Poland seeks a Software Factory Architect to lead software engineering standards, DevSecOps, and cloud-native architectures. The role requires 8+ years in IT, university-level education, and proven ability to define and drive architectural strategy.

Engagement is full-time, 40 hours/week, with an initial 220 working days and potential extensions up to 990 days over 54 months. Polish location in Warsaw. English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of software architecture for complex distributed systems.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale and cloud-native architectures.
• Ability to define and communicate architecture vision and technical strategy.
• Experience evaluating technical risks and making high-impact decisions.
• Experience mentoring senior technical professionals and architects.
• Strong leadership, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• University degree (EQF Level 7).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant IT professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultations in software engineering areas
• Act as a trusted technical advisor
• Design software development lifecycle and processes
• Review and recommend end-to-end software solution architectures for complex projects
• Own and evolve the engineering vision across the Software Factory
• Define architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practices
• Ensure consistency and alignment of architectures across the enterprise
