Google Poland is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team delivering Pixel kernels with a focus on quality and velocity. You will define strategy, set goals, and provide direct technical leadership across multiple projects and sites.

You will mentor engineers, manage performance, and collaborate with global teams to align priorities with broader company objectives. Strong technical and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience with embedded operating systems.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
• Experience with Linux/Kernel development.

• Lead a team responsible for delivering Pixel kernels with a relentless focus on quality and velocity.
• Define team strategy, manage team project goals, and provide direct technical leadership for all team projects.
• Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role, meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.
• Collaborate effectively with the global teams, set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals.
