Job summary

AirHelp is a global travel tech company focused on flight compensation and travel protection. We seek an Engineer in Test to own quality strategy within the product-engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Manager. You will build shared tooling used by the entire engineering organisation and help safeguard releases.

The role is embedded in a team-driven quality culture with daily deployments, modern tech stack, and opportunities to influence testing approaches across features and services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Developer in Test / SDET at mid or senior level.
• Strong coding skills in at least one major language (Ruby/Rails, JavaScript, TypeScript).
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools such as Bruno, Postman or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable automated test suites across multi-layer stack (unit, integration, API, E2E, regression, performance).
• Build and evolve internal test automation frameworks and utilities for the whole engineering org.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for fast feedback and deployments.
• Introduce and grow contract testing between services for safer cross-service refactors.
• Turn production observability into a quality signal (Sentry, Grafana, ELK).
• Collaborate with security on testing for sensitive and regulated flows.
• Develop and execute load and performance tests with k6.
