Arrive, a leading global mobility platform, is building a world-class payments engine. We are hiring a collaborative Software Engineer to help design, build and scale our payments platform used by millions of users.

You will own features end-to-end, work with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot and Kafka, and participate in design reviews, testing, and production deployments. Join a team that values curiosity, ownership, and a commitment to secure, reliable systems.

Qualifikationen

• 4-5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience deploying to production and solving technical issues.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong domain knowledge and documentation skills.

What You'll Do

Team Collaboration

• Proactively collaborate with your team, communicating progress and helping to remove obstacles.
• Give and graciously receive direct, useful feedback to improve both your work and the team’s processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and help them grow their technical skills while contributing to a supportive team culture that adopts company values.

Design & Development

• With guidance, design small systems or processes, making design choices that consider maintainability and scalability.
• Actively participate in design reviews and improvement efforts, anticipating how your work affects upstream and downstream systems.
• Take ownership of the reliability of your deliverables and ensure quality and efficiency in your own work while supporting others to do the same.

Quality & Operations

• Plan and execute validation for your systems, ensuring repeatable and traceable practices while understanding common failure points.
• Design and implement secure processes, recognize and mitigate potential security risks, and contribute to documentation.
• Identify recurring operational issues, propose improvements, monitor performance within your area, and take part in on-call or support activities.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 4-5 years of professional software development experience.
• Technical Ownership: You take accountability for your decisions, actively participate in Agile ceremonies, and are comfortable deploying to production and solving technical issues.
• Domain Knowledge: You have a strong grasp of your domain, understand its interactions with other systems, and actively work to improve documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborative Spirit: You are a team player who takes ownership of initiatives, helps guide them to completion, and proactively addresses issues, sharing your learnings with the team.
• Growth Mindset: You challenge yourself to learn more about business issues, take an interest in industry trends, and are focused on continuing to learn and support those around you.
• Quality & Security Focus: You take active responsibility for quality and security, understand testing coverage, and can implement secure, reliable systems.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices: Continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD), containerization (Docker, k8s).

Bonus Points

• Experience with billing or financial systems.
