Job summary

Arrive is building the future of B2B digital journeys. As an Android Software Engineer, you’ll design and build native applications that convert qualified business users into long-term subscribers through seamless, scalable, high-performance mobile experiences.

This hybrid role is based in Łódź. Our small, product-focused team promotes radical ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and growth as you help expand globally with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, and REST integrations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Android development with Kotlin as primary language.
• Proficiency with Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Hilt, and Kotlin Coroutines/Flows.
• Experience with REST APIs, API gateways, and the Backend for Frontend pattern.
• Growth mindset with familiarity with feature flags, A/B testing, and analytics tracking.
• Ability to write comprehensive unit and UI tests.
• Excellent communication and proactive, collaborative mindset.
• Resilience and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build for scale by designing and delivering modular Kotlin code for native Android apps.
• Drive growth by contributing to high-impact projects tied to global expansion.
• Own the lifecycle by defining product goals and turning them into actionable technical deliverables.

Your Everyday Life as a Software Engineer

• Build for Scale: Collaborate with a cross-functional team to design and deliver modular Kotlin code for our native Android apps.
• Drive Growth: Work on high-impact projects central to our global expansion and market acquisition strategies.
• Own the Lifecycle: Actively participate in defining product goals and breaking them down into actionable technical deliverables.
• Ensure Excellence: Write and maintain robust unit and UI tests to ensure reliability and prevent regressions.

What You Bring To The Table

• Android Expertise: 4+ years of professional Android development experience with Kotlin as your primary language.
• Modern Tech Stack: Hands-on expertise with Jetpack Compose, MVVM Architecture, Hilt, and Kotlin Coroutines/Flows.
• System Design: Experience with app modularization and working with REST APIs, API gateways, and the BFF (Backend for Frontend) pattern.
• Growth Mindset: Familiarity with feature flags, A/B testing, and analytics tracking to drive data-informed decisions.
• Quality First: A proven ability to write comprehensive unit and UI tests.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication—you are comfortable proposing ideas, giving demos, and engaging in deep-dive technical discussions.
• Resilience: The flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The "Nice-to-Haves"

• Experience with Figma Dev Mode for seamless design-to-code transitions.
• A proactive approach to using AI tools to boost productivity (we love a tech-forward engineer!).
• Basic knowledge of Javascript or Typescript.
• Experience with multi-market or localized applications.
