A leading auto parts retailer is looking for a Software Engineer I in Poland. The role involves supporting the design and development of software solutions, participating in the Software Development Life Cycle, and collaborating across teams. Compensation Pay Range: $93,600.00 - $140,400.00
The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
The Software Engineer I plays a key role in supporting the design, development, testing, and implementation of software solutions. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, this individual will gain hands-on experience with modern development practices and tools, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality software products. This position provides the opportunity to grow technical expertise while collaborating across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Support and contribute to documentation of current ("as-is") and future ("to-be") processes, accurately capturing changes required for system improvements.
Research and suggest technical developments to improve software quality, user experience, and infrastructure performance.
Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Assist in the development and enhancement of applications by identifying and implementing improvements.
Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code aligned with established coding standards and architectural guidelines.
Develop and execute test plans to verify that software specifications and performance criteria are met.
Support development, automation, and monitoring tools to identify and resolve performance or stability issues.
Monitor, identify, and correct software defects to ensure optimal functionality.
Assist with deployment, configuration, and ongoing monitoring of software applications.
Participate in peer code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
Collaborate effectively with team members, product owners, and QA to meet project goals and deadlines.
Take initiative in professional development by participating in technical training, coaching sessions, and certifications to maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant tools, technologies, and best practices.
Required Skills:
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance.
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively to meet objectives.
Strong analytical skills to assimilate information from various sources and make sound recommendations.
Understanding of business processes, systems architecture, and documentation of current-state and future-state workflows.
Ability to create clear and comprehensive technical documentation to support business requirements.
Experience developing software using one or more of the following:
Object-oriented or component-based programming languages
Database interfaces and query design
Cloud computing concepts (understanding, deployment, and management of cloud-based services)
Ability to design, execute, and report on system and service tests.
Competency in configuring, installing, and managing software environments.
