Job summary

Tieto is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Wrocław to join our engineering team working on next-generation wireless access products. You will gain hands-on experience across the embedded software stack, from hardware bring-up to driver development and system optimization, in a hybrid work setup.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in embedded software, strong C skills, Linux-based systems experience, and a passion for telecom tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics or related field.
• 2+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in C; Linux-based embedded systems experience.
• Understanding of BSP development and device drivers.
• Knowledge of multithreading concepts and concurrency management.
• Experience with system debugging techniques and development toolchains.
• Experience with hardware interfaces and low-level software.
• Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.
• Good English communication skills.

About the role

• We are looking for a Embedded Software Engineer to join our engineering team developing software for next-generation wireless access products, including Classic RAN, AAS (Advanced Antenna Systems / Massive MIMO) and O-RAN solutions.
• This role is a great opportunity for graduates and early-career engineers interested in low-level software development, embedded Linux, telecom technologies and modern radio platforms.
• You will work alongside experienced engineers and gain hands‑on experience across the embedded software stack, from hardware bring‑up and device drivers to system integration and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Experience from university projects, internships or personal projects involving embedded systems
• Basic knowledge of C++, Python or Bash
• Familiarity with Linux kernel concepts
• Understanding of networking or telecommunications fundamentals
• Experience with Raspberry Pi, STM32, FPGA, Arduino or similar platforms
• Interest in 5G, O-RAN or wireless communication technologies
