Tieto is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Szczecin, Poland to join our engineering team focused on wireless access products like Classic RAN, AAS and O-RAN solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS/telecommunications/electronics or related field.
• 2+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong C programming skills and Linux-based embedded systems experience.
• Understanding of BSP development, device drivers, and debugging techniques.
• Experience with hardware interfaces and low-level software.
• Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.
• Good English communication skills.
• Understanding of multithreading concepts, thread synchronization, mutual exclusion, and concurrency management.

About the role

• We are looking for a Embedded Software Engineer to join our engineering team developing software for next-generation wireless access products, including Classic RAN, AAS (Advanced Antenna Systems / Massive MIMO) and O-RAN solutions.
• This role is a great opportunity for graduates and early-career engineers interested in low-level software development, embedded Linux, telecom technologies and modern radio platforms.
• You will work alongside experienced engineers and gain hands‑on experience across the embedded software stack, from hardware bring‑up and device drivers to system integration and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Participate in embedded software development for wireless access products

• Interest in 5G, O-RAN or wireless communication technologies
